The Simpsons Says Goodbye to Mrs. Krabappel

The animated show paid tribute to the iconic schoolteacher after Marcia Wallace, the actress who played her, died last year

Marcia Wallace, who gave voice to the schoolteacher Mrs. Krabappel on The Simpsons, died from breast cancer at the age of 70. Last night, the show honored Mrs. Krabappel in a brief epilogue. The show will retire the character, who was known for her derisive laugh and frustrated love life — at least until Season 23, when she married widower Ned Flanders.
