The _Fight Club_ actor filed a temporary restraining order against Vitalii Sediuk, who allegedly hit Pitt in the face on the red carpet, a Los Angeles police spokesperson said. Pitt was attending the event with his wife, Angelina Jolie, who stars in the film. Sediuk, who has a reputation for assaulting celebrities, was arrested on Wednesday. He was in custody with bail set at $20,000\. Emergency restraining orders last five days. Pitt will have to go to court if he wants to extend the order.
