For some reason, a 200-pound doe either leapt or fell from an overpass Monday, slamming directly into the windshield of a minivan.
Heidi Conner and her four kids were traveling at more than 70 mph on an Illinois interstate when all of a sudden the creature landed between the two front seats, CBS Chicago reports. Somehow, though, nobody was seriously injured. The children were all unharmed, and Conner walked away with a sore shoulder and a few bumps and bruises.
“If it had been one inch to the left, it would have been dead center,” Conner told CBS Chicago. “I wouldn’t have been able to control the car. And one inch to the right, it would have killed my son.”
Deer cause all sorts of collisions and accidents, but a deer essentially falling FROM THE SKY seems to be a new one.
“Never in my career have I seen anything like this,” said Illinois Police State Trooper Justin Novarro, who was first on the scene.
This will certainly give Louis C.K. yet another reason to hate deer, which he says are just rats with hooves:
